Countdown to First Night®
Tri-Cities 2009:

Days Hours Mins

To a large extent, the word which applies to First Night Tri-Cities this year is BACK.
We are excited to be BACK on the Columbia Basin
College campus. Last year we discovered what a perfect site it is for this event and the majority of attendees expressed the same opinion. Events are indoors, parking is plentiful and all venues are conveniently located close together so there is minimum exposure to the elements as you journey from activity to activity.
Vocal Trash is BACK for their fourth appearance on our stage and they still sell out the venue each time they perform. They say First Night is one of their favorite performances of the year.
Last year we introduced the Gothard Sisters and they enjoyed an exceptional response from the audience. They are BACK to provide the kind of Irish dancing that has everyone clapping their hands and tapping their feet.
We are bringing Elvis BACK. He will return to our event after several years away. It's a complete package as he will be joined by Ann Margaret, Tina Turner and Patsy Cline.
This brings us BACK to what it's all about: Alcohol-free, family entertainment to celebrate the passage of the New Year. You, the audience, are the purpose for this event and you energize us each year as we continue to grow.
We welcome you BACK and look forward to seeing you once again.

TOM POWERS
First Night® Tri-Cities Board President

First Night® Tri-Cities is an alcohol-free family oriented celebration  that allows families a chance to join together in a safe, fun-filled environment to enjoy the visual and lively arts. By using the arts as a backdrop and the community as a stage, First Night® Tri-Cities is an opportunity to uplift human spirit and celebrate all that is good and right in the world!

WELCOME BACK VOCAL TRASH as they celebrate their fourth year headlining First Night®! Vocal Trash hails from Texas and is a cross between Stomp, the band known for playing trash cans, water bottles and more, and an a capella group. Throw in a touch of comedy and you have the popular group drawing huge crowds year after year!

ELVIS LIVES! We are proud to welcome Ben "Elvis" Klein to First Night® this year for an electrifiying performance from the King himself! Ben is one of the top Elvis Tribute artists in the world and has performed internationally. He was born in the same week as Elvis, just 46 years later. He bears an uncanny resemblence to the King vocally and in his look. It's a show you won't want to miss!

THE BEST WESTERN PASCO INN & SUITES is the official hotel of First Night Tri-Cities. The hotel is located across from the Columbia Basin College campus and offers a special discount for First Night attendees.
